Is It Time To Change Your Toothbrush?
Want to know when is the best time to change your toothbrush? Great question! Research studies show that you should be changing your brush every 3-4 months. Of course, this depends on every situation.
If you were recently sick, you should be changing your toothbrush as soon as you get better. When brushing your teeth during a flu or when you are carrying a virus, the germs stay on the brush. This means that you should change it as soon as you are healthy in order to prevent getting sick again.
How often one changes their toothbrush also depends on how rigorously you brush your teeth. If the bristles on the brush get worn out before 3-4 months, then you should change your toothbrush.
Toothbrushes should be stored away from other toothbrushes. This allows for your brush to not contaminate other toothbrushes and vice versa. If you store your toothbrush near others you should change your toothbrush immediately and store it in a separate compartment.
