Veneers

Veneers are an excellent option when you don't like how your teeth look. A dental veneer is a thin porcelain shell that bonds to the surface of your teeth. Veneers are an excellent choice if you don't like the color or the appearance of your teeth. We can choose the shape and shade that best suits your smile.

Advantages of Veneers

Contrary to popular belief, veneers don't require much shaving or alteration of your teeth. The alteration to your teeth is minimal to none. Furthermore, it can fix many of the cosmetic problems you may have with your teeth. For front teeth veneers, this is especially important, as you can choose a brighter white and perfect shape without weakening them.

Same-Day Veneers

With the CEREC same-day crown technology offered by our dental studio, you can have your veneers inserted on the same day as you arrive for your appointment.

What You Can Expect From Our Veneer Procedure

Using our state-of-the-art CAD/CAM digital scanner, we will take a 3D impression of the tooth and opposing teeth before making any changes. Most of the beautiful, high-quality veneers are milled in our dental studio. The scanner provides a 3-D model of the tooth, which will be used to create the veneer. However, for some cases the veneer may have to be fabricated by a local specialized lab.

The procedure is effortless and convenient since they are prepared in-house and ready in less than two hours. In contrast, if you need your veneers fabricated at the lab, you may need to wear temporary veneers that look natural and esthetic for about two weeks. The permanent veneers will match your natural teeth in shape and color.

When should you Get Veneers?

Veneers can be used to fix chipped or fractured teeth. They can also close gaps and spacing between teeth. Additionally, they are great for correcting stained or discolored teeth, which happen over time. Unfortunately, smoking, drinking coffee, tea, or red wine lead to discolored teeth. Overall, veneers are a very conservative treatment option. Therefore, they correct cosmetic dental issues without affecting the health of the tooth.

Veneers Expiration Date

The proper veneer dental care will extend the life of your veneers for years or even decades. We manufacture all our veneers from the highest-quality, stain-resistant, durable materials. After receiving your permanent veneers, it is essential to practice good oral hygiene. Our production process ensures a perfect fit and a tight seal upon cementation. Additionally, regular dental care appointments ensures a long life of your new veneers. We also recommend a dental guard if you grind your teeth or engage in contact sports.

Veneers Cost Information

Several factors affect the cost of dental veneers. These include your aesthetic goals, the type of veneers you choose, and how many veneers you require. In certain cases, you may also need gum contouring around the teeth in some areas to get the best result. Following a thorough examination, Dr. Shahrokh will discuss the various treatment options available to you. If you have dental insurance our front office staff will help you understand and utilize your dental insurance benefits towards your dental treatment.

Alternatives to Dental Veneers

The overall purpose of dental veneers is to correct cosmetic dental issues with teeth conservatively. A badly damaged tooth, for instance, may need a ceramic or porcelain crown for full coverage. Invisalign treatment may be your best and most conservative option if severe crowding or spacing between your teeth exists.

One Versus Multiple Veneers

In most cases, a single veneer corrects a discoloration, a fracture, or a chip on one front tooth. Occasionally, however, you may need more than one veneer if your teeth are misaligned, spaced, or multiple teeth are discolored or disfigured. When you visit Dr. Shahrokh for your first consultation, he will be happy to discuss all your concerns and wishes and the treatment options available.

The Right Time to Replace Your Veneers

If over time you become dissatisfied with the shade or shape of your veneers, it may be time to replace them. Also, the veneers may feel loose, or you might feel sensitive to heat, cold, or pressure. A dental decay under the veneer may result in these symptoms, as may soreness, infection, or increased gum sensitivity around the veneer.

Shaving of the Teeth for Veneers

A veneer requires minimal tooth modification. We remove less than 0.5mm of the tooth surface to prepare a tooth for veneers.

Requirement of Temporary Veneers

Thanks to the latest technology, we offer same-day crowns and veneers in our dental studio. Therefore, temporary veneers are not necessary. However, in case we need to send the veneer to the laboratory, we will use a temporary resin veneer. Using his aesthetic expertise and attention to detail, Dr. Shahrokh will ensure your temporary veneer matches the shape and color of the adjacent teeth.
