Teeth Cleanings
We offer professional dental cleanings at our office. In the long run, patients who receive regular preventive care have significantly fewer problems.
Over time mineralized plaque will accumulate in certain areas of your teeth, despite your best efforts. In addition to providing a suitable home for millions of harmful bacteria, these deposits produce toxins that are harmful to the gums. As a result, it frequently leads to chronic dental problems, even resulting in tooth loss.
We can remove bacterial plaque from the tooth surfaces if you visit us periodically. By removing them, it won’t have the opportunity to cause irreversible damage as if it were left untreated. In addition, our polishing paste gently removes microscopic plaque and stains, leaving your teeth ultra-smooth and shiny. Over time, discoloration settles into the enamel of your teeth, slowing yellowing them. Polishing also provides a glassy surface for a better cleaning.
Teeth Fillings
If untreated, cavities and small fractures cause teeth to develop decay over time. Metal restorations served a purpose in the past but left many teeth discolored and stained. Today, composites that blend into tooth structure are an excellent option for restoring defects. Additionally, composites are often placed in thinner layers than metal, preserving more natural tooth structure.
Often, we use composites for both functional and aesthetic purposes at the same time. For example, if there is a cavity on a front tooth along the gum line, you can see it and the aesthetics of the final filling is very important. We preserve the mineral surface of the tooth by gently cleaning out the soft, discolored cavity. Followed by restoring it with composite material with a shade that matches the tooth and makes it naturally blend in.
A composite is a combination of liquid resin and finely ground glass particles that are molded directly against the conditioned tooth structure. A composite restoration can be polished into a high shine that naturally blends into the enamel to create a strong, smooth, and conservative tooth restoration.
